This morning on my way in to work, I drove by a field of cows with their calves. I saw one of the cows stumble a bit and then noticed the calf latched on suckling. I felt so much solidarity with that cow. It also made me realize that we stumble a lot when parenting but, like mama cow in the field, we press on and it ultimately doesn't matter because we're doing our best. As long as the kids are safe, fed, and loved, that's the important stuff.
